“Every year, poor data quality costs organizations an average $12.9 million. Apart from the immediate impact on revenue, over the long-term, poor-quality data increases the complexity of data ecosystems and leads to poor decision making.”
The importance of high-quality, well-integrated data is nothing new, but its significance has arguably grown. Whether you’re focusing on getting the basics right or pursuing integration as part of an AI strategy, strong data foundations are essential. After all, your data fuels reporting, decision-making, insights, and increasingly, intelligent automation.
Despite this, a staggering 95% of IT leaders recently reported that integration challenges are holding back their AI ambitions. When juxtaposed with the finding that 64% of CEOs view AI investment as a priority, it’s clear that data integration is vital. Specifically, to provide a unified view of your data and unlock its value.
That’s where CONVAYR steps in – a data integration and ETL tool built with Salesforce in mind. Positioned as a cost-effective, no-code solution for integrating and transforming data, CONVAYR aims to make data integration more accessible to teams without deep technical resources. Following our post in January with Andrew Chapman and Oli Taylor, I’ve been exploring CONVAYR and here’s what I found.
🗺 Where does CONVAYR fit in the landscape?
Before diving into CONVAYR itself, it is useful to understand where it sits within the Salesforce integration ecosystem.
Salesforce is an API-first platform, offering a wide array of APIs – REST, SOAP, Bulk, Pub/Sub and more – designed to support interoperability. Each API serves a different purpose (e.g. real-time vs batch), but the key question is how best to use them.
As outlined in Donal Tobin’s post on Salesforce Ben, integration tools vary widely in complexity, governance, and scalability. Broadly speaking, they can be categorised as heavyweight, midweight or lightweight. While all aim to integrate systems, the breadth, depth and complexity they offer can differ significantly.
Importantly, this doesn’t mean one category is ‘better’ than another, or that every solution within a category is identical. Instead, it reflects that businesses have varying needs, shaped by their unique environments – such as application landscape, available technical expertise, budget and regulatory obligations. Categorising integration tools simply helps to gauge where on the spectrum you may wish to look first. Afterall, if you were looking for a runabout to do the weekly shop, you probably wouldn’t start at the local Ferrari garage (that said, there is nothing stopping you if you have the budget!).
Midweight solutions aim to provide flexibility and scalability, whilst keeping costs and technical complexity to a minimum. They are often great for small to medium-sized businesses looking to integrate multiple SaaS systems, with some need for branching logic or limited orchestration.
This is where CONVAYR presents itself; as a strong midweight contender offering accessible, affordable and powerful integration for multi-step data flows spanning Salesforce and a number of external platforms.
❓ What makes CONVAYR standout?
Now that we’ve explored the integration landscape and positioned CONVAYR as a midweight solution, let’s look at what makes it unique – and why it’s a strong contender for businesses looking for a practical and easy-to-use integration solution.
💲 Pricing
Pricing is often a key factor for businesses seeking integration. Many platforms use tiered licensing models, with costs varying based on factors such as number of transactions, premium connectors, advanced logic or auditing.
As of June 2025, CONVAYR’s pricing model is simple and transparent:
- Base subscription: $350 per month, which provides features such as:
- Up to 20 active connections
- Full access to all CONVAYR’s features (no premium tier restrictions)
- No processing / action limits (scale easily)
- SAML SSO integration
If you require additional connectors, they are available in blocks of 20 for an additional $250 per month.
This predictable pricing structure makes it easy for businesses to scale their integrations without worrying about unpredictable or hidden costs.
🔗 Connectors
Despite CONVAYR being a relatively new solution, it already covers an impressive range of connectors, including, but not limited to, Amazon S3, Eloqua, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft OneDrive, MySQL, SQL Server, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Snowflake and of course, Salesforce.
While some other integration platforms may offer a broader connector catalogue, CONVAYR seems to have two key strengths:
- Deep Salesforce integration. Built with Salesforce in mind, providing robust capabilities (e.g. sourcing data from Salesforce using Reports, SOQL or Webhooks).
- Inclusive licensing. All connectors are in the core subscription.
💹 Scalability
CONVAYR’s architecture and pricing allows businesses to scale with confidence – supporting large scale data flows. This makes it an ideal choice for teams expecting data volumes to increase without facing pricing changes or limits imposed by the solution.
💡 Usability & Features
As mentioned in my prior post, ClickTools was once one of the leading survey solutions for Salesforce. Part of its success was its easy-to-use interface and the versatility of its mapping to Salesforce objects and fields.
CONVAYR follows on with this, offering a clear and versatile solution for mapping and managing your integrations. Here are some of the features that caught my eye:
- Mapping. Easy-to-use mapping between data sources and targets, with helpers such as ‘Automatch’, ‘Add required target fields’ and ‘Add unmapped source fields’ simplifying setup.
- Logic. Conditional logic (e.g. for fields and sections), expressions (to set values), transformations (e.g. converting date formats) and variables provide the tools to handle complex, multi-step processes. For more advanced use cases, custom JEXL (Java Expression Language) can be applied – though this does require programming expertise.
- Administration. Helpful administration tools such as folders, easy user, credential and permissions management (aligned to the Principle of Least Privilege) help to keep the platform tidy and secure.
- Logging and error handling. Detailed logs and notifications simplify debugging. Bear in mind that logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days. If you require longer audit trails, consider external archiving.
- Activation Blockers. A very helpful feature allowing you to set ‘exclusions’ for when you do not want integrations to run (e.g., certain key times of the week/month).
🆘 Support
CONVAYR prides itself on its customer support. As a relatively new solution, the team is eager to listen to customer feedback and work with their customers to address their challenges.
🤔 Reflection
As outlined above, CONVAYR positions itself as a strong midweight integration platform for Salesforce. It offers a transparent pricing model, robust connectivity for a number of systems, unlimited processing and versatile features for non-technical and technical users.
This makes CONVAYR an excellent fit for small to medium-sized businesses and non-profits seeking to scale their integrations without excessive overheads and technical expertise.
That said, CONVAYR isn’t aiming to be a ‘heavyweight integration’ solution. There are trade-offs, such as the breadth of connectors available, advanced monitoring capabilities and lifecycle management – areas which are likely to be relevant for large enterprises or businesses with compliance or regulatory obligations. In such cases, care may be needed to ensure it is the right fit.
Nevertheless, CONVAYR is an impressive system, offering the potential to deliver significant value to its target audience. It will be interesting to watch how the product evolves over the coming years!

Summary
In this post, we’ve explored CONVAYR, an integration solution designed to make it easier to connect Salesforce with other popular applications. With its simple pricing model, robust and scalable integrations, and the ability to incorporate advanced logic, all delivered through an intuitive interface, it offers a strong, user-friendly option.
Bear in mind that integration tools are not one-size-fits-all. If your needs are limited to lightweight tasks (e.g. just uploading a .csv to leads), simpler solutions such as Salesforce’s Data Import wizard may suffice. Conversely, if you require advanced monitoring and API lifecycle management, CONVAYR would not be for you. But if you need a user-friendly, scalable and accessible integration tool designed to empower admins and non-technical teams, CONVAYR is well worth a look.
A big thank you to Oli Taylor at CONVAYR for giving me access to the solution and walking me through some of its use cases and features.

Bonus Penguin Fact 🐧
Do you know that there are currently 18 species of penguin alive today? Moreover, these 18 species are divided into 6 genera! These are: crested, banded, brush-tailed, large, yellow-eyed and little penguins.
How this diversification occurred is interesting to explore. Researchers believe this has been driven by changing climatic conditions and penguin’s adapting to their changing ranges over time. Want to dive deeper? Check out this article for more info!
